What Happened to South Africa Got Talent

South Africa Got Talent also known as SA Got Talent and also known as SAGT is a interactive reality television talent show.

The show was created by Simon Cowell and it is produced by Rapid Blue.

SA Got Talent first aired on 1 October 2009 on SABC 2. Season 1 and season 2 of the show originally aired on SABC 2 and season 3 to present aired on ETV.

The show is presented by Mo Mahlangu who is popularly known as Tall Ass Mo. The show features talents such as singers, dancers, comedians and variety acts who compete against each other for the grand prize. The winner of the show receives R500 000.

The judges are Jamie Bartlett who joined on season7, DJ Fresh who joined on season 5 and Shado Twala who has been a judge since the inception in 2009.

So What Happened to SA Got Talent?

The reports are that the show will hold auditions this year 2019 and that the show will air later on in the year. For audition guidelines do visit ETV’s website.

There haven’t been any reports or statements that SA Got Talent has been cancelled.

With regards to the show not airing in 2018 do keep in mind that this isn’t the first time that the show has skipped a year. In 2011 the show didn’t air and returned in 2012.
