Mabala Noise Entertainment is a South African independent record label owned and founded by Reggie Nkabinde and DJ Bongz in 2015.
I would argue everyone to visit the website www.mabalanoise.co. As per their about us page it reads “Mabala Noise is a record label that focuses on what is important; investing in the music and talented artists that create it. We believe in creating a collaborative and innovative environment where our artist can thrive and reach their maximum potential in a stress-free atmosphere.”
The vision of our movement began in 2008, originally called Emabalabala Entertainment. Piece by piece we put together a domestic and international management team who understands the industry and our role as a management company that has a vested interest in helping our artists grow and advance their careers”
The artists who are currently at the label are:
- Khanyi Mbau
- Kay Sibiya
- Letoya Makhene
- Lvovo Derrango
- Du Boiz
- LeAnne Dlamin
- Ann Singer
- Thokozani Langa
- Mbali Nkosi
- Ms Jones
The former artists are:
In 2017 July DJ Bongz one of the original founders left Mabala Noise.
He made the announcement via social media with the following statement “I, DJ BONGZ, would like to confirm that I AM NO LONGER PART OF MABALA NOISE. I wish everyone success there. Peace❤️🙏🏿🇿🇦”
He also revealed that he would be starting his own record label Gwara Gwara entertainment.
Riky Rick left Mabala Noise around 2017 March after what we would assume was the consequences of his Metro FM awards acceptance speech.

Gigi Lamayne left in 2017 December. She said “It was just a few creative differences. But it was definitely something that we couldn’t fix because it was a creative difference, you know… I saw my brand going in one place and I saw my brand taking another route. So I just decided that I had to do me. It’s time.”
2018 February Nasty C signs with Universal Music. Post that reads “By the way I’m Universal Music now.”
Little by little big name artists seem to be flocking away from the music label. Those that remain haven’t even had reports of working on an album or new music. All seems somewhat quiet in the music production front.
The doors are still open and it is business as usual. So we can only hope that there is something cooking under the radar.
