What Happened to Big Brother Mzansi

Before Big Brother Mzansi was known by that name it was known as Big Brother South Africa when the first season aired in 2001.

Big Brother South Africa is a television series that has a total of two seasons as well as Celebrity Big Brother South Africa.

The first season aired in 2001, Celebrity Big Brother aired from the 23 June 2002.

The second season aired 28 July 2002 ended on the 13th October 2002 after this season Big Brother South Africa took 12 years off.

On the 12 June 2013 Mnet announce that its local brand Mzansi Magic will produce another edition of Big Brother South Africa, but they will rebrand it as Big Brother Mzansi.

Big Brother Mzansi aired on the 02 February 2014. After 63 days in the Big Brother House Mzansi Mandla was crowned the winner of the season.

The second season of Big Brother Mzansi Double Trouble was in 2015, but this time around the contestants had to compete as couples. After 56 days Ntombi and Ace won the R2 million.
