Nomzamo Mbatha dragged after posting a congratulations message to Thuso Mbedu for landing the leading role Cora in Barry Jenkins’ Amazon series based on Colson Whitehead’s book titled The Underground Railroad.

Last night Thuso Mbedu shared the news that she had officially got the job and as the congratulations started pouring.

Nomzamo Mbatha wrote “When I auditioned and found out I was pinned for this role I couldn’t stop jumping with excitement! Now finding out that a DESERVING Homegirl got it makes the loss so sweet! Congratulations, Thuso, I know you will do Cora so much justice! @BarryJenkins this is amazing!”

Now this message of congratulation was enough to cause a stir on social media as many thought that Nomzamo was trying to make Thuso’s announcement all about her.

While on the other side of the coin there were those that saw nothing wrong with Nomzamo’s message.
